I Can Feel Him Moving is a spoken word track by Esther Rolle. Esther Rolle is remembered most for her work as an actress but she started her career as a dancer and in 1975 she released an inspirational album titled The Garden of my Mind. Accompanied by a band and a choir, Rolle recited the lyrics rather than singing them.

Spoken word album

Most people know Rolle for her role as Florida Evans on the CBS television sitcom Maude (1972–1974), and its spin-off series Good Times (1974–77, 1978–79). Not many people know that she also was a talented dancer and musician. She started her career as a member of Asadata Dafora's dance troupe, Shogolo Oloba and became the troupe’s director in 1960. In 1975 she released a gospel album titled The Garden of my Mind. A spoken word album featuring poems set to music. She said she wanted the album to boost pride in the black race.
