Sir Lord Comic is one of the original Jamaican deejays. He started out as a legs man: a dancer. It was Count Machuki that inspired him to become a deejay and in the late 1950s. He began deejaying with the sound system, and recorded what is considered the first deejay recording, Ska-ing West in 1966.

Sir Lord Comic also recorded one of the last great tracks of the ska era: The Great Wuga Wuga. It was recorded in 1967 on the Doctor Bird label and was of earliest toasts around.
